Women in Optometry-An IU School of Optometry Conversation

Women in Optometry
You’re invited to a community Zoom conversation.
The optometric landscape is changing and the future is female. In early 2020, women accounted for 44 percent of all practicing ODs, the largest percentage yet, this according to an article in the Women in Optometry Magazine. And that trend is expected to grow.
Join the IU School of Optometry in an online Zoom conversation with Associate Dean of Students Dr. Kim Kohne, along with IU Alumna Dr. Natalie Katt, optometrist at Dr. Black’s Eye Associates and 3rd year optometry student Mattie Monroe. We will explore the paths that brought these accomplished women to optometry, their thoughts on the growing field and discuss what changes they see on the horizon due to the fact the field is becoming more female driven.
