Overseas Study Funding workshops

Students can attend one of two workshops to learn about funding options for study abroad, including campus and national scholarships. In addition to planning academically, students should plan financially for their study abroad experience.

While I was working on my undergraduate Psychology degree just a few short years ago, I was convinced that I wanted to become a professor like my mom and dad. I knew that getting involved with research in some fashion would be necessary for any future graduate school applications. Now, 4 years and 2 labs later, I no longer have the desire to pursue research as a career, and yet I am extremely grateful for the lasting benefits that the experience afforded me both today and during my undergraduate career.

The FASE Mentoring Program is gearing up for a very special event which we refer to as the Career Dinner Symposium. The idea behind the Symposium is to connect you with professionals who reflect your academic or career interests and allow you the opportunity to network with them over a wonderfully catered meal. During dinner, you will be able to ask professionals career related questions to gain valuable insights, suggestions, or recommendations as to how you may begin your journey toward success.

Summer Science Opportunity in Sierra Nevada

IU Students! Come Join us for an extraordinary introductory science experience in the Sierra Nevada this summer!
Join our intro-level “expedition” science course, “Volcanoes of the Eastern Sierra Nevada”, taught jointly through the IU Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences and Collins Living-Learning Center.

The class offers a hands-on, inquiry-oriented introduction to the geological and ecological setting of one of the most beautiful and environmentally diverse areas of the western U.S. It’s open to all IU students – no prerequisites! Fulfills N&M Gen Ed science requirement and available for Honors credit.

The course includes 1-cr seminar-style class during the second half of spring semester, followed by a 2-week field trip to the Sierras, May 9 – 23. Scholarships are available for Collins residents and prospective Geological or Environmental Sciences majors.
