Information and Library Science Accelerated Master’s Degree Programs

The Information and Library Science Department is now accepting applications for our new Accelerates Master’s program. Interested students can complete their Bachelor’s degree with either a Master of Information Science degree, or a Master of Library Science degree in 5 years. Students will complete the normal 120 required undergraduate hours, and the 36 required MIS or MLS hours. Students are able to take 12 credits of graduate coursework during their senior year. These 12 credit hours are billed at the undergraduate tuition rate. The program is mainly aimed at current Juniors who have the ability to take 12 hours of graduate credit during their senior year without conflicting with their Bachelor’s degree.

Students are encouraged to apply by January 15, but if an interested student is not able to meet the deadline, we have some flexibility to consider applicants who contact our office.

Interested students can contact Corey Tarbell, ILS Assistant Director of Student Services, for more information about the program and application process, or follow the link to our website below.
