In our course, you will

DREAM about what the possibilities are, by hearing from yours truly and from diverse alumni,

DECIDE what possibilities are right for you, your interests, and your values,

DESIGN a plan of action to gain the needed skills and experience,

but the DO part of the plan is then up to you later!!

We will meet Mondays 5:00-6:00 PM (no meeting during Dead Week before finals). Classtime will feature occasional alumni as guest speakers, “reports from the field” where you share out your experiences interviewing, attending job fairs, etc., and presentations from me.
Requirements will include preparing a resume, reading and writing about biographies of math majors in the workplace that you find interesting, and writing about links between areas in which you’re interested and specific math topics.
